How to Send Your Sample to Vettto

We’ve made our process clear and straightforward so that you know exactly what to do at every step. Follow our detailed instructions below:

1. Identify the Test

On each diagnostic test page, you’ll find:
Test Name – The specific test you want to book.

Test Code – A unique code required for booking (please include this in the online form).

Species – The animal species this test applies to (dog, cat, horse, bird, or exotic pet).

2. Review Test Requirements

Each test description includes important details:
Specimen Type – blood, tissue biopsy, urine, swab, or other sample.

Sample Amount Required – to ensure accurate results.

Sample Container – e.g., EDTA tube, sterile vial, slide mailer.

Collection Guidelines – instructions on handling and preserving the sample before shipping.

3. Check Turnaround Time

Most veterinary lab tests at Vettto include an estimated reporting time. Some specialized tests may take longer, especially those requiring international processing.

If you need urgent results, please contact our support team before booking to discuss available options.

4. Package the Sample Securely

Correct packaging ensures that the sample reaches us in the right condition.
Use the recommended containers (EDTA tubes, sterile cups, slide mailers, etc.).

Label each sample clearly with the pet’s details.

Follow our temperature guidelines (ambient, chilled, or frozen).

If applicable, mark the package: “Diagnostic Specimen – Handle with Care.”

5. Complete the Online Form

Click the “Book Pet Lab Test Online” button and fill out the submission form with:
Your contact details (veterinary clinic details if you’re a vet).

Pet details – name, species, breed, age, and brief medical history.

Test Name & Test Code.

Any notes or specific concerns for our pathologists.
